Our Sea Salt Story
In the early 1970’s, Jacques deLangre and his wife joined the natural foods movement and launched The Grain & Salt Society. Jacques, who passed away in 1993, had a PhD in Biology and was a researcher of natural food products. His passion was natural unprocessed sea salt. The mineral matrix that naturally occurs in our salt is the grain from which our product selection and capabilities have grown. The legacy of Celtic Sea Salt® is rich with quality and integrity. We look forward to the days to come, while at the same time, looking back to the legacy of integrity that Jacques created. 

It’s easy to forget that the food in your kitchen has a history. Someone grew it, someone selected ingredients to create a special sauce, and someone believed in that sauce enough to manufacture it.
