Erewhon

Erewhon was established in 1966 as a small retail store in Boston. Its original purpose was to provide high quality natural foods, especially for the growing macrobiotic community. As demand grew, in order to ensure both quality and supply, Erewhon began to produce many products under the Erewhon brand name.

Ever since its inception, Erewhon has been committed to product integrity and quality and was the first to create a Charter of Quality Standards for Natural Products. At a time when “natural” seems to mean different things to different people, we are proud to still adhere to the same set of standards established by the founders of our company.

Today the Erewhon product line consists of a variety of hot and cold cereals that are organic, whole grain, and made without cane sweeteners. Erewhon cereals contain no dairy ingredients and many are suitable for wheat-free or gluten-free diets. And, of course, they contain no chemical additives or preservatives, no artificial colors or flavors, and no hydrogenated oils.
