Art of Longevity -The Macrobiotic Guide
Kasia and Jamie Trevena
Kasia became interested in natural medicine and food through her parents who are both physics teachers and were interested in research into alternative ways of healing. She started her holistic studies in Poland which led her to the Institute of Macrobiotic Healing Arts in Switzerland where in 1993 she completed 3 levels course in Oriental diagnosis, food remedies and shiatsu. She set up her practice in her home town in Poland, giving many consultations, and started a support group for women with breast cancer with positive results.
Since then her work has taken her to holistic health centres in Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland and here in England.
Kasia is a Senior TouchPro chair massage Practitioner
and has a ITEC Diploma in Diet and nutrition and is a
Shiatsu Practitioner with BSS-DO also completing Pregnancy shiatsu massage.
Jamie first became interested in the macrobiotics way of living when he was a teenager
after having bronchitis. He made a full recovery and decided to begin training at the East-West Restaurant, London's only "macrobiotic" place to eat. He was inspired to learn more and studied extensively at the Kushi Institute in the early 1990's.
He went on completing the professional macrobiotic catering course in Switzerland. He has been cooking with leading chefs from around the world.
Jamie and Kasia have their own well-being business in Kent, England, and
have an educational macrobiotic website: Art of Longevity -The Macrobiotic Guide
www.macrobiotics.co.uk
which is helping people to understand more about their own health and well-being.
