Lecture 1: Heart Teachings on the Dharma Path
The essence of Buddhist practice is awakening to our original wisdom, beyond the confining delusions of our cultural conditioning. The foundation of this awakening is practicing mindfulness and compassion. Join author Will Tuttle, a former Zen monk and Buddhist practitioner for over 30 years, in a provocative and insightful exploration into the connections between Buddhist practice and our daily lives here in the West. He will be focusing especially on the practical and spiritual ramifications of our food choices and how these impact us both personally and culturally.
Lecture 2: Creating A New Culture Of Peace
Dr. Will Tuttle will present the main ideas in his groundbreaking new book, The World Peace Diet. It has been called one of the most important books of the 21st century: the foundation of a new society based on the truth of the interconnectedness of all life. It is the first book to make explicit the invisible connections between our meals and our broad range of problems—psychological, social, and spiritual, as well as health and environmental. Dr. Tuttle offers powerful ways we can all experience healing and peace and contribute to a positive transformation of human consciousness.
Lecture 3: The Vegan Way - The Liberating Power of Non-Violence
As veganism continues to spread throughout our culture, it is helping to facilitate a beneficial transformation that heals the deep wounds of our society’s psyche. Inquiring deeply into veganism takes us to the core of our culture and beyond: to a path of immense and inviting social transformation, personal healing and inner joy.
Lecture 4: Healthy Relationships
Dr. Will and Madeleine Tuttle present an overview of some of the challenges vegetarians have in relationships, especially intimate relationships, and give some ideas for making our relationships as healthy, creative, and empowering as possible - both for ourselves and for others, and for the animals who are often in the background.
