Class 1: POWER of YOGA - Beginner Level (Open to All Levels)

Nationally recognized yoga expert Sherri Baptiste skillfully and gently guides you through a flowing yoga practice that includes postures (asanas) held in accurate alignment. The series offers seamless transitions between the postures using flowing breath-based movements. This practice will help you access and sustain mental, emotional and physical well-being, while enhancing creative abilities and a calm, relaxed state of mind. Experience fresh insight and inspiration as you strengthen the muscles of your mind and body. During this deep practice for body, mind and soul, you can work at your own ability level. Modifications are given throughout the session.

This session includes yoga postures and breath work for serenity, strength and beauty, including:

  • a gentle warm-up
  • posture alignment techniques
  • breathing techniques
  • deep relaxation at the end
  • techniques for modifications

Class 2: POWER of YOGA - Intermediate Level (At Least One Year of Practice is Suggested)

Learn vital tips for sequencing postures and developing seamless transitions while skillfully and carefully practicing a flowing series of breath-based yoga postures. Practice includes warm-up, warm-down and a final guided meditation. Discover how to enhance physical and mental strength, balance, flexibility and tone, while cultivating energy, a beautiful body and an inspired state of being.

Workshop 1: Chakra Journey
Nationally recognized yoga expert Sherri Baptiste teaches you about the magnetic polarities and energy fields known as the chakras. The chakras are vital force centers at the different levels of consciousness in the human system. Discovering and nourishing the chakras regularly with the energy of your breath and certain yoga postures balances and increases the vitality of the surrounding organs and cells. When the seven centers are perfectly aligned, optimum energy flows throughout your nervous system resulting in a feeling of peaceful well-being.

  • dynamic exploration of the chakras as a path of yogic transformation and healing

Physicians, psychologists and other professionals endorse meditation as a powerful tool for relieving stress, maintaining health and promoting creativity and vitality. Learn important sequencing to elicit the relaxation response, guided visualization and silent meditation.

Internationally renowned teacher and author of Yoga with Weights for Dummies, Sherri Baptiste, will offer a private 45-minute Yoga with Weights session. The session is intended to help individuals to skillfully integrate the use of weights into their yoga practice. Yoga with weights is a hybrid of two powerful, time-tested exercise systems: yoga and bodybuilding. Yoga is well known as a system of personal development through which you can cultivate peak performance and achieve a higher quality of life. By combining these two exercise systems, yoga with weights addresses the needs of the body beautiful, but it also goes beyond the physical dimension of your wellbeing. Some props such as yoga mat, fitness ball, small hand-held weights, ankle weights, and stretch strap will be used.

Private Yoga & Breath Work Session - $175/person.
Internationally renowned teacher and author, Sherri Baptiste, will offer a private, 45-minute session combining yoga with breathing techniques. The session is intended to refine the individual’s proper form and alignment in yoga postures. Refining your personal yoga practice can be an excellent way to help you towards optimal health. You will also reduce stress while practicing the exercises; concentrating on the breath builds you in stronger and deeper ways from the inside out. It’s a quality of consciousness that you’ll carry into your daily life. You’ll notice an overall sense of wellbeing and peace of mind. Some props such as yoga block, yoga mat and stretch strap will be used.
