Patrick McCartySee Descriptions of Patrick's Lectures, Workshops, and Private Consultations Patrick McCarty has been involved with natural health education for the last 30 years. He is the former director of the East West Center for Macrobiotics, a natural health education organization in northern California. He studied at the Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has written five books and is editor of "Healthways", the newsletter of the International Macrobiotic Shiatsu Society. His books are now part of the Smithsonian Institute's Complementary Health collection. He met with Hillary Rodham Clinton at the White House and presented dietary information to the White House staff. Three times he has presented classes on diet and health to the Ministry of Public Health in Havana, Cuba. He is a Certified Instructor in the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA) and Diplomate ABT from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider under Category A.
