Chu's Workshops and Private Consultations
Master C.K. Chu, born in Hong Kong in 1937, holds a M.A. in Physics and taught in both colleges and high school in New York. He began martial arts training at the age of 12, including Northern and Southern Shaolin, and Wu and Yang Style tai chi.
In 1973, he founded the school Chu Tai Chi (formerly Tai Chi Chuan Center of New York). His background enables him to explain traditional Chinese exercises in Western scientific terms.
C.K. Chu is the author of definitive books on tai chi (Tai Chi Chuan Principles and Practice, 1981), nei kung (The Book of Nei Kung, 1986), Taoist meditation (Chu Meditation, 2003) and Chi Kung (Eternal Spring Chi Kung, 2004). He also created the Chu Tai Chi instructional video (VHS &
DVD).
Master Chu is also the founding director of the non-profit Tai Chi Chuan Center
